Ingredients
- 450g Tub Vegetal Stewing Sauce
- 200ml Cooking Oil
- 1 bulb of onions (sliced)
- 1 Large Garlic Clove (minced)
- 1 Thumb Size Ginger (minced)
- Pinch of Thyme
- 1 Tsp Curry Powder
- 1kg Rice (washed and drained)
- Half Bay leaf
- 2.25 Litres Stock
- 250ml Stock
- 4 Seasoning Cube
- Salt to Taste
Method
Step 1
Heat 250ml Cooking Oil into a non stick pot
Add sliced onions, minced garlic and ginger and fry for 2 minutes
Step 2
Add Vegetal Stewing Sauce and Stir. Allow to fry for 10 – 15 minutes, stir occasionally
Add Stock, Thyme, Curry, Seasoning Cube and Bay Leaf. Cover and bring to a briskly boil
Step 3
Add rice, Stir, cover with lid and allow to cook until tender (may add additional stock at this step)
Check and Correct seasoning, Reduce heat, allow to simmer until rice is cooked.
